RADIOCARBON DATING OF MULTIPLE MATERIALS FOR CLARIFYING THE FORMATION OF THE MEDIEVAL SETTLEMENT ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PRAGUE CASTLE (CZECH REPUBLIC)

ABSTRACT An archaeological excavation conducted on U Kasáren St. in the Prague Castle area (Czech Republic) 2020 revealed remains of a medieval settlement consisting houses different constructions (pit dwelling, masonry construction), pyrotechnical (possibly metallurgical) features and unspecified pits. The also evidence fire events traces viniculture outskirts area. Archaeological data allowed only rough dating investigated 10th–13th centuries. This paper presents results radiocarbon various materials (animal bones, archaeobotanical samples) from contribution to clarification chronology site.
